Google stopped supporting the Adobe flash player.

So downgrade your Flash player(install old flash) and check it out..

Firefox does not run on Google TVs. Please seek support from the manufacturer of the TV.

Thanks for your response. My Smart TV box is not a TV, it's an Android box that you plug in to a TV which then becomes a giant size tablet, albeit without a touch screen. I can view BBC iPlayer properly in the UK using the Browser app that was preloaded. When I am back in Portugal where I live, I need to use Firefox with the modify header app to watch BBC iPlayer. That's when the lack of video occurs. Any ideas?
