My "pgup" and "pgdn" keys have decided on their own one today that they are going to now be the equivalent of the "Back" and "Forward" buttons, respectively. I am attempting to change them back to actually being Page Up and Page Down like they are supposed to, but there appears to be no way to do this. The two keys work properly everywhere else on my computer, but Firefox alone has decided to change the function of these two keys without my permission. Firefox seems to do that pretty often, actually. How do I fix this?

There is an old issue on systems with Elantech touchpads. If you think that could apply to your device, please try this first:

(1) In a new tab, type or paste about:config in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.

(2) In the filter box, type or paste elan and pause while the list is filtered

(3) Double-click ui.elantech_gesture_hacks.enabled and set the value to 0 (zero).

(4) Restart Firefox.

Does that solve it? If not, there might be an add-on related issue.

You do have a very old version of Flash, which for some people has been associated with this issue. If you do not want to use the current 11.x series of Flash, you should at least install the latest in the 10.3 series.
