F12 is the default key to open the built-in developer toolbox same as Ctrl+Shift+I

What keyboard brand and model are you using?
Are the volume keys part of the regular keyboard keys or are they special keys located at the top/bottom/side of the regular keys?

For some reason these volume keys are also acting as other keys on the keyboard. If you answer my above questions, I will attempt to figure out a solution for you.

Does that keyboard have a Fn (Function) key?
If so, hold the Fn key when you hit the F11 or F12 keys.
