i was able to install firefox on desktop inspite of not having admin rights

& was able to download+install the package. Though we had pop-up received for admin credentials; surprisingly was able to proceed by clicking NO.

please let me know if admin rights are not mandatory for installation of firefox?

hello, as non admin you can install firefox into your personal appdata folder - so it won't be available as general program for all other users accessing that computer with different accounts.
