The import options list includes "from Outlook" and "from a file", with a note that this includes address books and calendars. So is it correct that importing "from Outlook" is importing from a .pst file that was exported from Outlook? If so, would this option be better described as "Import from Outlook .pst File" or perhaps "data file"?

Long story short I cannot send emails with attchments no matter how small if I have more than one Yahoo account.

W11 Thunderbird 128.2.1

In fault finding I have reinstalled TB and set up accouts for Gmail and Outlook with multiple accounts and all work correctly including Yahoo unless I have more than one Yahoo account.

If I set up more than one Yahoo account I lose the ability to send emails with attachments for Yahoo. To test: 1- No Yahoo accounts and cerificates removed from TB. 2-Set up one Yahoo account, accept certs and test by sending an email with an attachment. All Good. 3-Set up an addittional Yahoo account and test by sending an email with an attachment. Will Fail, server will time out eventually. 4-To regain sending with attachments > I have to delete all Yahoo accounts and remove the Certificte exceptions then recreate a single Yahoo account. Once I recreate a single Yahoo account and accept the Certificate exceptions I can then send emails with attachments. As long as I only have one Yahoo account.

Any ideas.

128.2.3esr 64bit on Ubuntu Linux (24.04)

I had the provider plugin for google calendar and lightning working for years now.

But then some appointments could not be closed. So I did the search on this site and the solution was to remove the add-on and use the internal calendar function.

I did that and connected with my google account to have my calendar events back. But that left out all my contacts birthdays.

How do I get them (the birthdays out of my google contacts) back into Thunderbird?

Search brought something up about installing a plugin for the birthdays, but since I had to remove a plugin to have things working nearly as they should, I did not go the road to install a plugin after removing one.

Installed plugins now: Mail Merge No Message Pane Sort

Thanks in advance for trying to help!

I have just migrated to Thunderbird from Outlook 2013. I've added my Exchange account and Thunderbird has successfully synced all my emails past and present, and is working perfectly on the Mail side of things.

However, the Calendar is completely empty. It hasn't imported any of my events, and when I create a new one this doesn't appear in my other synced apps (e.g. on my phone etc.).

If I try to add a new network calendar with the same account details as my email account, it says the credentials are not accepted. I tried downloading the TBSync add-in and Exchange server extension but got the same errors. I've tried creating an app password from my Microsoft account but this didn't work either.

I must be missing something very simple here. I'm really not sure why TB didn't simply sync my calendar events at time it set up the email account?
