I can not open a firefox saved file
I can not also open files saved in an older version of firefox. The icon of saved files is not the normal firefox file

What kind of downloads are the files? Or did you use the "Save Page" feature to save a webpage?
Assuming they are saved web pages, do they open in a different browser, or in an editor?
To re-associate the pages with Firefox, you can try right-click > Open With (on XP, you might need to hold down the Shift key when right-clicking to get Open With, I can't remember).
