In add-on's, shockwave flash has disappeared. When I try to update Flash, it just gives a connection error and won't download it, even with Internet Explorer. Adobe's troubleshooting page said to check to see if Flash was enabled in Firefox's add-ons. That's when I noticed it was gone and I know for a fact it was there before. I was able to download and install Flash manually for both Firefox and IE but it still won't do a normal update. And it doesn't appear under add-on's even after removing Flash with Adobe's Flash remover and reinstalling it clean. Flash does appear under add-on's for Internet Explorer though and is enabled there. In Firefox, Flash does work on some sites like Youtube but not on others. Some sites give me a plugin error saying Flash isn't installed when it is. Adobe's Flash checker at the link below now says it's not instaled or enabled even though it is installed and does work on some sites as I mentioned. Also, updating Firefox did not fix it. That actually removed something that I use so I went back to an older version. Has anyone ever seen this Flash issue in any version of Firefox? Thanks.

Please update to Firefox 38.0.5, Firefox 35 is no longer supported and it has known security issues. Update Firefox to the latest release

After doing that, please install the latest Flash, https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/download/?installer=FP_17_for_Firefox_-_NPAPI&standalone=1

As I mentioned, I already tried that and it didn't work.

What doesn't work? are you sure you downloaded the NPAPI version of Flash and not the ActiveX version?
