Why does a msg go to the draft folder while I am still writing it?
In mid-word the screen will partially fade and the msg will disappear and reappear in the draft folder. To continue I must click edit. Sometimes it will fade again and revert to the unedited state. So I click edit again and press on. Very annoying!!!!

Thunderbird auto saves mail to drafts. Every 10 minutes I think. But it is a transparent thing so what you describe is not what is supposed to happen.
What anti virus do you use? Does it happen if you hold the shift key while starting Thunderbird to enter safe mode?
