Yahoo home page
All of a sudden my preferred Yahoo home page format changed on Firefox but not on my other browsers. Upon reseaching a so0lution I was told that this was a Firefox issue, but now I don't know how to resolve it.

First do a malware scan, then change your homepage with these instructions: How to set the home page
Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.
You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:
- Microsoft Safety Scanner
- MalwareBytes' Anti-Malware
- Anti-Rootkit Utility - TDSSKiller
- AdwCleaner (for more info, see this alternate AdwCleaner download page)
- Hitman Pro
- ESET Online Scanner
Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one. Windows 8 has antivirus built-in already.
Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.
- Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox menu button/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
- Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Firefox 42+ has a new Tracking Protection feature that is enabled by default in Private Browsing mode. You can see a shield icon at the left end of the location/address bar when you are in private browsing mode that some content is blocked. You can disable this feature in "Options/Preferences > Privacy".
- Options/Preferences > Privacy: "Use Tracking Protection in Private Windows"
It was the whole formatting schematic, but I figured out how to fix it by simply clearing all cookies /history, and then it went back to the regular format. Still don't know why it happened so suddenly...
hey now that firefox 44 is updated, its happened again, BUT now clearing history and cookies won't fix it! PLEASE tell me you have come up with a fix? It happened right after I updated to 44, really hate to go back to the lower version, but I cannot live with this "new" homepage for Yahoo ( it sucks) please let me know if anyone else can fix it? or good old Mozilla ( it is your update that I blame here, as it was fine till then)....
Hi dobydoby, I see the same-looking page for https://www.yahoo.com/ in Firefox, Chrome, and Internet Explorer. (Not logged in, I only looked at the page logged out.) Do you see the "old" style in any browser you use?
Hi dobydoby, sorry, I'll repost in your new thread here: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1106848

I tried in my chrome, it was regular, but when I try my firefox on mac its same changed, as on my windows with firefox. so i think firefox is the culprit.
