I just installed Firefox 44.02 on Mac with 10.10.5 running. I have a user account that is controlled by Parental Controls. When I click on Firefox, it will open, but you can't type in a URL. It just sits there blank and locked up. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling FF, but that didn't work. I opened parental controls and removed FF from the list and restarted and then readded it to the list. It still opens, but I can't type in a URL or get webpages to come up. It freezes.

Any suggestions?

It may not be the parent control.

Some problems occurs when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;
