Sync requires me to sign in each day on Mac, but not on PC or iPad
I want to have sync'd bookmarks accross 2 PCs, an iPad and a Macbook Pro. This all works except that Firefox on the Mac asks me to sign in each day - I don't have to do that on the PCs or iPad.

You may be in Private Browsing mode, or told Firefox not to remember.
Type about:preferences#privacy<enter> in the address bar.
The button next to History, select Use Custom Settings.
Turn off Always use private browsing mode Turn on Remember my browsing and download history At the bottom of the page, turn on Clear History When Firefox Closes. At the far right, press the Settings button. Turn on ONLY Cache and Form And Search History leaving the others off.
I followed these instructions yesterday, but it has now (17:03 London time) just told me that I need to "reconnect to sync" , the Macbook is connected to the wireless network and from there to the internet, and everything else works as expected, so its seems to be purely a problem with syncing firefox...
Shut down sync. Fix the problem on all your systems. After everything is fixed, turn sync back on.
Are you using a master password on all devices?
The Sync version used in Firefox 34+ releases uses the password manager to store the authentication data that is used to connect to the Sync server. When Firefox is started you need to enter the master password to be able to connect to Sync.
