What player will replace Flash in Firefox
Flash is choppy, starts and stops, causes "Firefox not responding message" often. Lenovo G505 laptop. Runs extremely slow

In case you haven't tried the fixes in these articles, they might help:
- Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems
- Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - Prevent it from happening again
Firefox lets websites take the lead in specifying their preferred player technology. There is no convenient way to indicate to one particular site that you CAN'T use an HTML5 player so it is forced to serve Flash. You can hide the Flash plugin completely from sites by totally disabling it (on the Add-ons page, Plugins panel, set its permission to "Never Activate"). But that is not ideal, either.

Many websites are using the HTML5 player. This is built into current Firefox browsers.

Thank you. You answered my question in record time but the answer leaves me confused. HTML5 will play some codes but others require Flash. How do I know which to use and how do I switch from one to another.
