I'm using the latest ver of Firefox(60.0.1) but I do remember that in the previous version I was able to go back to the previous tab I was on and that was opened in my tab bar, just by clicking on the active tab. How can I do it now? So to be clear: I have tab 1, tab2, tab3 on my tab bar. I'm looking at tab1. Tab1 is still on my tab bar and I'm looking at tab3. Now just by clicking on tab3, I go back to tab1. Any advice how to achieve that? I do work with quite a few tabs opened at the same time so that function would be very useful to me.

Hi, you can use Keyboard Short Cuts : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/keyboard-shortcuts-perform-firefox-tasks-quickly#w_windows-tabs

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ctrl-number-to-switch-tabs/

Please let us know if this solved your issue or if need further assistance.

Hi, switching to the last tab you used when you click the current tab was a feature of Tab Mix Plus or another extension.

Currently, there's no exact replacement because extensions cannot detect/intercept a left-click on a tab. Currently, extensions can switch to the previously active tab when you:

(A) right-click a tab and choose an item on the tab context menu, or (B) click a toolbar button, or (C) use a keyboard shortcut

For (B), in response to someone's request a while a go, I posted one here: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/switch-to-previous-active-tab/

There are a couple like (C) available. I don't know about (A).

Thx for that:) Although this is not what I was after, I'll give it a try.

Thx for the explanation. I just don't understand why they've changed that. It was such useful feature
