Firefox doesn't run Speedtest program at same speed as Chrome. I noticed that recently Speedtest is not reporting accurately when run on Firefox but reports correctly on Chrome or Edge or my phone for that matter. I have tried in troubleshooting mode and have refreshed Firefox. I have a 200 Mbps connection. I am connected to my router via Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6E AX210 160MHz.

Please see attached screen shots.

Can you install the UserAgent Switcher and test it again with Chrome UA set for that website? Thanks.

Hi,

UserAgent Switcher didn't make a difference.

Thanks.

This issue has been reported previously, but devs can't spot a significant difference.

See bug 1636904.

I've used Firefox for years and never really had an issue with this until after the 109 update on the 18th of January. That's at least when I noticed it. When I cleared my cache and cookies during reset of Firefox I lost my history from Ookla but I do remember checking before the new year and it was fine.

Thanks, D

I have no issue here with Firefox 109. It maxes out my download and upload speeds. Granted, my current ISP is only 20 Mbps down and 2 Mbps up so hard for me to test with higher speeds.
