I used to go to gmail all the time. Now it says "Not Found" whenever I go to gmail. Is there a reason for this and is there a way I can access gmail again?

Hi Sam.

You may be having a problem with some extension that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all extensions (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?

Hey Morbus,

I'm very interested in trying your suggestion to see if it would fix my problem, but I don't know what "disabling all extensions" means or how to do it. Can you please explain? Keep in mind I have very little technical knowledge so assume I need a detailed explanation. Thanks!

It's relatively easy. You just go into Tools > Add-ons > Extensions and select each extension you have list and click disable. Then you restart Firefox and all of them will be disable. To re-enable them, you do the same thing. There will be a button where it said "disable" with the title "enable".

You can read more here about troubleshooting extensions and theme:

You've been really helpful and I did what you said, but I'm still having a problem. I click on "tools", then click on "Add-ons", and when the box opens I click on "extensions". This is the problem" In the "Add-on" box under "extensions", it says "Microsoft.NET Framework Assistant 1.0. Adds ClickOnce support and the ability to report installed .NET versions to the web server. Not compatible with Firefox 3.6.3." And underneath there are 3 boxes to click on: "options", "enable", and "uninstall". But it won't let me click on any of them. Also, the first thing before the text I just copied, is a red explanation point. This is the only thing that comes up under "Extensions". Any ideas? I'd appreciate any input. Thanks

Sam, I'm not sure what's happening, but let's do something easier: run Firefox in safe mode. There should be a shortcut for Firefox in safe mode in your Start menu, but if you need help, read this:

http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode

When in safe mode, you can instruct Firefox to disable all add-ons. Easy and clean. If the issue disappears, it's from an add-on you have installed (we'll look into it after). If it persists, it may be something else. Try deleting your browser cache:
