Firfox not setting focus when open witout selecting the text box in google(home page)e

when firfox is opened to googles home page, it does not set focus to text box. I have to click in or select the text box before my typing shows up. I have IE and crome set up the same way and they both set focus to the text box when I open their browsers to google home page.

I figured this out on my system. May not be the same circumstances but I thought I would post my solve just in case it helps someone else.

I noticed the problem started for me right after the newest update. I troubleshot it today and found that when I went to google using my homepage button it set the focus just fine but when I used the New Tab Homepage (link below) extension it wouldn't set the focus properly and would type the in address bar when I tried to search. I tested a few other new tab homepage/URL extensions and found one that works great and sets the focus to the search textbox correctly (link below)

Extension that worked: NewTabUrl by Sogame https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/newtaburl (Note: See the attached image for the Options that worked for me)

Extensions that don't set focus correctly: New Tab Homepage by Ben Basson https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/new-tab-homepage New tab with homepage by Aurélien MANCA https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/new-tab-with-homepage
