Why does FireFox advise updating Adobe Flash to version not supported for Windows 2000?
I'm running Firefox 3.6.18 on Windows 2000 with a 1.7 GHz processor and using Adobe Flash Player 10.1.102.64. Firefox keeps urging me to update to the latest version of Flash Player, 10.3.181.26, but Adobe indicates that the new version is not supported for Windows 2000 or CPU's slower than 2.33 GHz at http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer/systemreqs/
Whic way should I turn?

If Adobe says that it won't work on your computer, then it's probably best to listen to Adobe and ignore the update suggestion.
Firefox just knows that there is a newer version of Flash so it's telling you that it's out there. At this point, you are likely to begin (if you aren't already) to start running into incompatible updates on a more regular basis since your operating system is over 10 years old. I'm not saying that as an insult or anything, just an observation.
