I have a website which takes around 20 seconds to open. (It is a php script which does some processing before responding to the browser.)

The Problem: I open the long loading website in firefox. While firefox is loading that site, I want to open another website from the same domain (in another firefox tab). This is not possible. The second one will also finish loading after 20 seconds, but it should complete much sooner.

If I use another browser, while firefox loads the long loading website, I get the second website displayed instantly.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
