Installed latest Firefox under Windows 7 64-bit. Cannot complete the installation of Flash Player from within Firefox as it seems it cannot connect to the Adobe server. After manual download from the Adobe site and after the site recognises correctly the OS and other details, download successfully. Start the installer only to see the downloaded file disappear from download folder and nothing happens, no dialogue etc. Upon checking task manager the process is there and running but seems to be doing nothing. I suspect this is not a problem with Firefox nor Flash but rather w7, but thought i would start here. Using the standard w7 firewall and AVG free for antivirus. Recently purchased from DELL.
