YouTube audio extremely quiet on FireFox only. Clearing cookies and cache doesn't fix.
Whenever I watch youtube videos on firefox, the audio plays extremely quietly even with youtube, windows, and my speaker system at max volume. This problem does not occur when I watch youtube from any other browser, nor does it occur in any other applications such as teamspeak, etc. This problem still occurs even when I launch firefox in safe mode, and while firefox is the only application running on my system. Clearing the cookies and cache does not help at all, even temporarily.

Hello,
The Reset Firefox feature can fix many issues by restoring Firefox to its factory default state while saving your essential information. Note: This will cause you to lose any Extensions, Open websites, and some Preferences.
To Reset Firefox do the following:
- Go to Firefox > Help > Troubleshooting Information.
- Click the "Reset Firefox" button.
- Firefox will close and reset. After Firefox is done, it will show a window with the information that is imported. Click Finish.
- Firefox will open with all factory defaults applied.
Further information can be found in the Refresh Firefox - reset add-ons and settings article.
Did this fix your problems? Please report back to us!
Thank you.
OK I did the hard reset and that didn't help so I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox which also did not change anything. YouTube's volume is fine on chrome. My volume settings are such that any other application which produces sound is deafening, however YouTube's volume on Firefox is still fairly quiet even at these settings.

Hello there, I seem to have fixed the problem. I had the same problem. Right click the speaker at the bottom right of your desktop, on your task bar. Open up the Volume Mixer, Scroll across to Adobe Flashplayer and move the volume bar up to full.
