how do I disable caching in version 24 previously you only needed to disable memory and disc caching?
In about:config I could disable disc and memory caching so pages are always retrieved from the web site and not locally nn firefox version 23.0.1 and earlier. This no longer works in version 24, (I also tried disabling a number of other things too to no effect). These are what I tried:
1. browser.cache.disk.enable change it’s value to false 2. Change “browser.cache.disc.max_entry_size” to 0 (zero) 3. Change “browser.cache.disc.smart_size.enabled” to false 4. Change “browser.cache.disc.smart_size.first_run” to false 5. Change “browser.cache.disc.smart_size.use_old” to false 6. Change “browser.cache.disc_cache_ssl” to false 7. Change “browser.cache.memory.enable” to false 8. Change “browser.cache.memory.max_entry_size” to 0 9. Change “browser.cache.offlne.enable” to false 10. Change “network.http.use-cache” to false

Is the problem when using the back button? Firefox 24 seems to be more aggressive about the "fast back-forward cache" feature, holding on to pages that previously had to be reloaded.
This came up in a recent thread that started with Firefox 23 but moved on to the above issue: After the update of firefox 23, whenever I click back button doesn't reload the page. A workaround was posted there, but I don't think a solution or specific change was identified that would help you find a setting-based solution.
