Help please. I have read all the "History" related posts and none answer the question:

History only shows Today, Yesterday, Last 7

Where is the rest of my history - why can't I see last month, last year, etc as it used to be

YES, I do have set to remember

Thank you

Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date. To do this, go to the Mozilla Plugin Check site.

Once you're there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions. If you see plugins in the list that have a yellow Update button or a red Update now button, please update these immediately.

To do so, please click each red or yellow button. Then you should see a site that allows you to download the latest version. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation and follow the steps mentioned in the installation procedure.

How is this relevant at all???

It sounds that older history has been deleted if you only see history from the last days.

Make sure that you do not use "Clear history when Firefox closes" to not clear the Browsing History

No I am not using that setting to clear.

Could someone from Firefox PLEASE answer this !!!

Seems like a simple questions -

I want all history saved and available

History that has been deleted is gone and you will have to wait to get older history beyond last 7 days to show up once again provided that there isn't a problem with the history.
You can only restore lost (deleted) history when you have a backup copy of the places.sqlite file.

You can check for problems with the places.sqlite database file in the Firefox profile folder if you still aren't able to keep history.

If you use external cleanup software like CCleaner then check the settings for the Firefox application.

Thank you for the reply and helpful links.

After reading thru some of the above and following links thru the first link, it looks like firefox was coded to only allow 180 days max of history due to performance issues.

is this correct?

I understand that most questions are answered with links to read, but my head hurts after all the links/ reads/ where to thread next.

So, if you or someone else could just answer the question...does firefox allow storing history of more than 3 month or infinite history like the OLD ie or not? Just would like to have all my history it actually

comes in very handy when researching somethings..........

Thanks!

Just to further clarify - I do not clear or delete history

I do not use CC Cleaner

Current Firefox versions do not have a time limit for the history.
Firefox determines automatically how many pages can be kept without affecting the performance.

You can see the current value via the read-only pref places.history.expiration.transient_current_max_pages on the about:config page.
