I had buttons for Netflix, Yahoo, and other sites that I regularly visit on a toolbar and after the update they are gone. How do I get them back?

I believe this was a my websearch toolbar, but I can't remember how to restore it..or the update removed it entirely.

You probably mean the bookmarks on the Bookmarks Toolbar.

Make sure that toolbars like the "Bookmarks Toolbar" are visible.

  • Firefox menu button > Customize > Show/Hide Toolbars
  • View > Toolbars (press F10 to show the Menu bar)
  • Right-click empty toolbar area

Use Toolbar Layout (Customize) to open the Customize window and set which toolbar items to display.

  • check that "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is on the Bookmarks Toolbar
  • if "Bookmarks Toolbar items" is not on the Bookmarks Toolbar then drag it back from the Customize palette into the Customize window to the Bookmarks Toolbar
  • if missing items are in the Customize palette then drag them back from the Customize window on the toolbar
  • if you do not see an item on a toolbar and in the Customize palette then click the "Restore Defaults" button to restore the default toolbar setup

You can check for problems caused by a corrupted localstore.rdf file if this didn't help.

This wasn't my problem but I accidentally fixed it anyway. Click on the most visited and then just click and drag the sites you want to use to the toolbar..not the same as what I had but same end result.
