When the update signal hits, and before I know that an update needs to be done, firefox crashes.

I have crash report activated and it pops up and asks what I am doing. At that point, I have no idea that the update signal was the problem. Then when I restart, the update starts so I have no way to know to report this issue linked to the actual crash. This seems to happen regularly - like every time there is an upgrade.

It is happening on both a Windows 7 PC and Windows 8 so I don't think it is OS based.

(Cannot install "Troubleshooter as the error message says that firefox won't allow access to the needed file.")
