How do I prevent firefox installing the latest version on my system?
I have done a custom install and selected the option to not install the maintenance service. I have also verified that my update is checked to "never update". When I start firefox from a fresh boot of my system, it auto-updates me to version 34.
Is there anyway to prevent this??
I am getting fed up with always uninstalling firefox and re-installing an older version.

Hello,
In order to change your Firefox Configuration please do the following steps :
- In the Location bar, type about:config and press Enter. The about:config "This might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
- Click I'll be careful, I promise! to continue to the about:config page.
- Look for this options app.update.auto, app.update.enabled, app.update.silent change their value to false

Those values are set to false and yet firefox will continue to update every new version.
Still waiting for a solution here........
Try this Disable Auto-update add-on.
If you open the "Help > About" then an update can be downloaded automatically.
If files already have been downloaded then you need to remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder.
