Why are DailyMotion downloads via a particular plug-in so darn SLOW compared to others?

I'm on Hughesnet Satellite internet. Sometimes get up early (during "bonus time") to download videos from Youtube or other places. Download speeds (now that I have a newer modem) are good, when using Net Video Hunter, a plug-in/addon for Firefox. I've been using that for years, no problem. BUT I just started using another plugin called "Download Flash and Video" to download videos off of DailyMotion. While this plugin works FASTER than NetVideoHunter on anything off of Youtube, (I'm averaging about 240mbps download speed-and yes, that's GOOD for me) when I go to download from DailyMotion the download will begin at something like 200 Kbps and go DOWN to about 66 Kbps (this is a CRAWL) no matter what time of day I try it, so it takes about an hour to download an hour program. I'm just wondering if anyone knows WHY the DailyMotion videos (I think they are FLV but they are converted to MP4 when downloading) are being downloaded at such a horribly LOW speed! I can even download a youtube video simultaneously which will take minutes, and be downloading at the higher speed while the DailyMotion video is slow as cold molasses. ANY thoughts? I wrote the company/person that made the plugin but they have not responded.

There are other downloaders available at the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here).

There are also external downloaders that work separately, without needing Firefox to be running at the time.

You can also contact the support site for the program you are using.

Firefox has no control over and does not provide support for addons. Addons are developed and maintained by independent developers.

Apparently the developer of that addon does not respond to email. :/ I'll check for something else to try. Thanks!
