how do I stop sponsored ads in my inbox?

I did a refresh of Mozilla Firefox and started getting "sponsored ads" in my email inbox. How can I stop them?

Hi, if you are referring to web-mail, such as Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook or AOL etc., you can try an Add-on ad blocker such as Adblock Plus.
