I recently installed 38.0.1 and I forgot to turn off automatic updates. So now it looks like the latest version was downloaded, but probably not installed, because if I'm understanding this correctly, the automatic user control on windows 8.1 stops it from installing. But now I have to always tell the UAC to not give it permission to download the latest version. So I assume it's downloaded, but not yet installed on my computer. Is there any way to delete this update so I don't have to keep telling UAC to not let it start? Thanks alot.

Firefox v38.0.1 has problems. You should update to v38.0.5

Seriously? I haven't been aware of any since I d'loaded it. When UAC prompted me to install 0.5 I came over here and there seemed to be people bitching left and right about 0.5. From your perspective, why do you feel 0.5 is better? I usually don't upgrade until I have to if something works, security issues aside.
