I am about to refresh my Firefox. Can I save my permissions before the refresh, then restore them after the refresh?

Yes you can do it. And it will be better if you create a new profile instead refreshing. Both gives same result but in different principal. To know more about see the article: Recover important data from an old profile

And you need to backup permissions.sqlite file from your profile.

What kind of issues do you have that you want to reset/refresh Firefox?

Thank you for the replies.

I will look into the link provided.

The issues I am having with FF are hard to explain. But there are several. The most current is trouble with the addon Tab Groups Helper. With TGH I have several "Tabs" with many web links. The Tabs have dropdown lists of the links. For some reason the dropdown has stopped working. I have gone through several troubleshooting steps with the maker of TGH and determined that my best route at this time is to refresh FF and hope that solves this and other issues that have been adding up.

Thanks, Ron

What did you try to recover from this issue?

You can also try to use the Profile Manager to create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problem. Note that resetting Firefox will try to recover tabs from this session.

See "Creating a profile":

If the new profile works properly then you can transfer files from a previously used profile to the new profile, but be cautious not to copy corrupted files to avoid carrying over problems.
