how do i play games on websites that arent "encrypted"

more options

there are several gaming websites my children like to play, as do i, but i am unfamiliar with technology terms. its telling me to make sure my javascript is encrypted ... also the icon beside the address bar says "the connection to this website is not encrypted" .... i have no idea what that means i just wanted to play on the gaming websites, or watch videos, or anything!

Hmm, that is confusing.

The connection to HTTP addresses is NOT encrypted. If someone is on the wire between you and the site, they can intercept and read everything.

The connection to HTTPS addresses IS encrypted (unless Firefox indicates otherwise with an error page). If someone is on the wire between you and the site, what they intercept should take many years, even decades, to decode.

Now... how important is encryption for your connection to a game? If the game involves personal data such as a username and password, or payment data such as a credit card number or other code that allows in-game purchases, then it would be good to check for an HTTPS address and a padlock to avoid this information falling into the wrong hands.
