My website in the latest firefox 41 version is consuming a lot of memory space. I installed the Nightly and found it to be much better.is thr any big change ?
I performed the same steps and found a very big difference between the Current (41) and Nightly version of firefox. Even Beta and Developer had big improvements difference in memory performance. Below are some stats of the memory (MB).
Step - FF41, FF44 initial - 315, 112 step1 - 335,110 step2 - 377,95 step3 - 700,104 step4 - 859, 102 step5 - 868,101 step6 - 980, 103 step7 - 864,105 step8 - 909,104 step9 - 950,101 step 10 - 1gig,99
I would like to understand if anything is being done between the beta and the developer version on memory front. We have serious concerns with the current memory consumption and are very happy by seeing the results in the dev and nightly edition.

pre-release versions like nightly have new features, bug fixes and performance enhancements. Once they are ready they will make their way down to release.

+1
also because of that (Nightly is pre-release version, an alpha version), maybe you have crashes, it is unstable, as the official site said, these builds is for testing purposes only. And some of the features might get time to see it in the stable(release) version. :-)
thank you
I do hope you are not sharing the same Profile you use with Firefox 41.0.1 Release with the Nightly development channel builds.
