Thunderbird is email client software running on YOUR computer. The only backups are the ones that YOU make. If you are using IMAP email or have a POP account where you checked the option to Leave messages on the server then your email provider might have some options for you. Check with them.

Then I think I have to change email provider. I could recover most from my old computer, but the email part of the harddisk was damaged. So to prevent this on my new PC I think I have to leave Thunderbird.
First you should learn the difference between an email client software and an email provider. Thunderbird is NOT your provider. Thunderbird is free to use so no one there will miss you. Good luck on your new choice.
