new computer, windows 10 Firefox never asks to save my login info. It did on the old computer--windows 7. A visit to the appropriate page under Options-Security revealed a check-box that will not check. Whassup? I have to type in every login every time. A huge bore!!!

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in permanent Private Browsing mode (Always use Private Browsing mode; never remember history).

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"
  • Deselect: [ ] "Always use Private Browsing mode"
