I want to open a group of bookmarks at once, but whenever I do so, Firefox leaves the current and blank tab blank.

There used to be a setting to reuse this tab, but this option was removed from preferences.

Why was it removed?

How do we get it back?

This is my third time asking this question. No help has been forthcoming.

"Open All it Tabs" has always appended any open tabs by opening an additional tab for each of the bookmarks. In the past you may have had an extension which provided a feature to replace open tabs, like maybe TabMix Plus.
