Unable to set Firefox as default web browser in Windows 10
I'm using Windows 10 and have installed FIrefox. I went to the default programs in Windows 10 to set Firefox as my default web browser but it won't.
I checked the default program for file types and it shows that there are two file types that Edge still opens. I tried to change them to Firefox, when I choose Firefox it goes by to Edge.
How can I fix this?

Can I suggest you take radical control of Win10 and pretty much disembowel it so it runs like win7...lol As I think this is a Win10 issue I believe.
Install https://www.oo-software.com/en/shutup10 so it does not report everything to MS if like a win7 start menu back there is Classic Start Menu to install and if you follow instructions here http://www.howtogeek.com/t/windows10/ can really take control of Win10....though that being said it does come down to your question which is a Win10 issue and not FFPlease remember to come back and close your thread as a solution if it is
Oh and if do believe it is a Win10 issue you can reset Win10 though will have to reinstall programs...http://www.tenforums.com/tutorials/4130-reset-windows-10-a.html

Which file types (file extensions) are you referring to?
Does Edge have a setting to disable setting itself as the default browser?
Did you try to change the Windows Registry as administrator?
There are still two protocols that Edge is using
