Save only specific passwords
I can't seem to find any options to save only specific passwords in firefox. I want firefox to be able to save passwords for only 5-6 websites, and forced to forget any logins for any other website.
Using "never for this website" for each website that comes up isn't really an option. This is in an enterprise environment and certain websites do not need their logins stored in firefox.

A detail like a website remembering you (log you in automatically) is stored in a cookie.
You can use these steps to make a website recognize and remember you:
- You can create a cookie" "Allow" exception to keep specific cookies, especially in case of secure websites and when cookies expire when Firefox is closed.
- Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: Exceptions
You can remove the Cookies from a website to make the website forget about you.
You can let the cookies expire when Firefox is closed to make them session cookies.
- Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > "Use custom settings for history" > Cookies: Keep until: "I close Firefox"
You can create a cookie" "Allow" exception to keep specific cookies.
You can consider to use Private Browsing mode as Firefox won't offer to save a user name and password from a website in PB mode if your question is about the Password Manager.

I am not sure what that has to do with remembering passwords?
I want the password manager in firefox to only remember logins for specific websites, and any other would never be remembered.
Basically, instead of saving all except certain websites, I want to not save all except for a few websites.
Like I wrote in the last part of my above reply, the only way to prevent Firefox from asking to store a user name and password from a website that you haven't blocked via a 'never remember' exception is to use Private Browsing mode. In PB mode the Password Manager works the same as in normal with the exception that you can't store a new password.
Note that clearing "Site Preferences" clears exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, and software installation and exceptions for passwords and other website specific data.
Well then, I suppose it is time to switch to Chrome then.
I thought Firefox was supposed to be renowned for customization and therefore was the only thing it had over Chrome?

The feature that you are asking isn't supported in Chrome either. Firefox is customized heavily by its add-ons.
You can search for add-ons for your needs in the Add-ons repository. Or, You can ask for other user's help or request them to make an add-on to suit your needs in the mozillazine forum..
