Lost message filters t'bird 45.1

So I've installed the latest update a few days back. Yesterday on opening Tbird, ALL my IMAP email account filters have magically disappeared. ALL OF THEM!! For some months now on this account, tbird keeps disabling filters with a msg 'server unavailable, message filters will be disabled'. This has driven me crazy enough. I've used web interface to login to site at same time tbird is telling me it can't reach the server. I deleted the offending folder and sub-folder off the website, renamed them, put them back on the main root tree. Tbird still had problems running filters. It's just gone on like this for months, only on my IMAP account. All 5 0r 6 POP account filters work fine. But now they are ALL gone. There was possibly close to 50 or more rules on that account. The thought of re-entering them all is not a pleasing thought......I've been a staunch supporter of Firefox and Thunderbird for many, many years, but this is pushing the limit.

Everything you describe screams anti virus to me. Do you have one? or are you relying on defender?

Flaky connections, on again off again availability and missing files.

Are you sure the account in the filers dialog is correctly set? That is the most common reason I can't find filter. I am in something like RSS feeds.
