downloaded version 45.3, but hour glass keeps going and can't send or receive emails

will not complete the ver 45 download. how can I stop it and revert to prior version. Using on Macbook.

What exactly is the problem? Downloading the Thunderbird installer using a browser? Then ask in a support forum for your browser.

Turns out the problem was not with Thunderbird but my internet service provider. Thanks.
