The old drafts not being cleared from the drafts folder when email is sent bug is back. Many drafts pile up in the draft folder. Marking an email as being read clears the star. Marking an email with a star marks it as unread. Settings for including the original message in a reply are not being obeyed. The settings are cryptic with no help. The bulk mail folder icon is showing as 'junk'. It is not junk. There is a junk folder for junk. What is this 'wild west' server out business? -Some kind of joke??? I don't appreciate it. I ran T-bird from the start and it has never been as buggy as this. Why mess with something that 'works'?? I lost my Old T-bird in a complete computer melt-down otherwise I would still be using it. T-bird is a UTILITY, it does not have to be fancy or do anything beyond sending and receiving email. There are other apps for social networking, browsing, blogs, threads, calendars, etc etc. If someone wants an extra line feed in between paragraphs let them hit the return key twice. Don't make it the default text entry behavior. What a mess. Where can I download the OLD Thunderbird? -No, don't worry I will find it in archives somewhere.

Godaddy paid email accounts on a domain I own that I have had for ~15 years. Typically they are good, down maybe two hours per year at most. Flawless otherwise.

I rolled back to TB-45.8.0. There are still some configuration issues I have to work out. Send-receive seems to be working. The drafts folder is being cleared on sending which is good. There are some doubled up folders I have to sort out since folder names changed, ex; 'sent' and 'sent items'. I still have to check on that smtpout setting for the 'Wild West' server joke. I may just try to transfer the bulk mail filters to a new folder and see if I can delete the bulk mail folder. I don't know if I will have to edit each one or if I can rename and have it automatically change. I have not had time this evening to test the star/read problem.
