i cannot login after thunderbird update.

It seems my thunderbird auto updated yesterday. it opened to a page asking me to login. none of the usernames or pw i tried work. i tried "forgot username" and "forgot pw" but did not receive any emails. i tried confirm my account and did not recieve any emails (tried two different email addresses). I looked at saved login information in the firefox browser and found login creds from april 2017 that were gibberish. i copied and pasted those creds into thunderbird and got the same messages; either your username or pw is incorrect. HELP! I have been going in circles.

There is no login to Thunderbird. It is asking for your email login info. What is in Firefox is irrelevant. They are 2 different and separate programs.

I would like to know where people find this "Forgot my username and/or password" in Thunderbird since it does not exist.

Go to your providers webmail page and confirm that you know your username and password. If they work there you have another issue causing the password error. Sometimes after a Major software upgrade your firewall will block the application for a while. Incorrect server settings also cause password errors.
