If I try a download from google drive I get a quick flash on lower left indicating defender is doing a virus check then it goes this page and stalls. The virus check usually runs a little longer then I get the firefox download arrow...

Suggest ( I do not use it) that there must be some logs for Defender some place and should check what they have to say re time this happened.

Also Check Windows Event Viewer for the time this happened and see what the error was if any.

So far this does not seem like a Firefox error or issue.
