Re Windows 10 update. Error message indicating that an old version of Firefox needs to be updated before Win 10 update. On 3 occasions in the last 2 months I have a. updated Firefox - Win 10 still blocked, then b. erased all Firefox application and files - Win 10 still refusing update! No helpful advice found on Windows site : all messages insist on removing or updating Firefox and I have done both without success. What should I do now ?

I can't think of any reason Windows would require an application to be updated or removed before it updates itself.

Any difference if you go into Windows 10 default application settings and make Edge your default browser?

Thanks for the advice. Too busy to change anything, then tried update yesterday and Windows accepted with no messages re. Firefox. It's as if they had been harassing me into rejecting Firefox in favor of their own appli and after weeks of blocking Firefox users like myself, simply changed strategy. Evrything now operationnal with updated Win 10.
