Hello,

I would like to save some settings that would take a lot of time to be done manually again, after an update. I have added about twenty search engines with the help of different Firefox addons. During my last update, these were lost (the search bar only had the default searche engines) although Firefox was synchronized (and conserved my bookmarks and other settings).

Would anybody have an idea how to save or synchronize them?

Thank you very much for any help!

Hi Brigitte:

Unfortunately this syncing search engines is not currently a Firefox feature. There is a bug for this but no ETA: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=444284

Cheers!

I just updated Firefox, and this time, search engines were actually conserved :)

Thank you, Brigitte

Hi Brigitte,

The issue of search engines being lost on update is known and we're investigating it at the moment.

We've a possible improvement going through the release process at the moment, and we're looking to see if we need to do more or not.
