Home page and search engine
I had Bing as my homepage and search engine, and that has always worked fine, for many years. But after a recent Firefox update, the browser will no longer allow Bing as my homepage and search engine, and because I had set the browser exclusively for Bing, I can't access another search engine. I liked the Bing homepage because it had a new photo every day, and most of those photos were downloadable to use as wallpapers. Looks like I may go back to Internet Explorer [I don't like Edge]. Why won't Firefox allow Bing now? - it's not a security risk.

What site is showing up as your home page now? What site is showing up as your search engine now? These could be clues pointing to some malware or a rogue extension having infiltrated your Firefox.
Generally speaking, you can reset your home page to Bing by opening Bing and dragging the lock icon over to the house icon and dropping it there. More tips in this article: How to set the home page.
If you try to choose Bing from the default search engine setting, is it available? If it's not listed, try using the "Restore" button at the bottom of the panel below the One-click Search Engines box. More info in this article: Change your default search settings in Firefox.
