Email worked fine one day and not the next... Getting "mail server responded: STARTTLS first (#5.5.1).

Email worked fine one day and not the next... Getting "mail server responded: STARTTLS first (#5.5.1). Verify your email address is correct in your account settings and try again".

Got this error out of the blue. Was able to roll back my thunderbird version on my desktop and temporarily fix the error but that method didn't work on my laptop. Nothing changed, settings are the same on the functioning desktop and the malfunctioning laptop.

I've tried running in safe mode, no success.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
