Since the export of the Calendar in CVS format has been removed, How do I now export the calendar in CVS format.

I use the calendar entries in taxes as a source of miles driven for medical purpose's and other tax related information. The CVS format makes it easy to to sort and calculate.

Try events export and choose as save type .csv format. That's all.

Are you on the beta version? Csv import/export has been removed in that version, for now, but it's still there in the 91 release (see picture).

I use TB 91.1.0. Since you did not clarify your version, I replied. But why don't you switch to TB 91.1.0? I you are going to, first export calendars and contacts and backup your emails.

Thanks all for the quick replies. I am on release 93.0b1 (32-bit) and the .CVS export option is in deed been removed also. Generally speaking, I have been staying current with the latest updates. Going backwards in versions may solve my current problem, but i may encounter different issues later that have been solved by later versions. Kind of a catch 22. That leaves me with the question of Why in the world did they remove it in the first place?

Stay away from release candidates or early birds versions!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's fine to adopt the latest updates, but a beta version isn't intended for critical functions. The csv issue was probably removed because it isn't in a form that's suitable for wide release. To avoid such interruptions, it's best to keep the release and beta programs in separate directories, and to have each version use its own profile.

Thanks again for the quick replies and thoughts. True that it is a beta Removal, but eventually it will mitigate to the Alfa release and I would have the same issue only later and potentially forever. It just seems like a simple thing to just leave it as it was.

I think you are looking at this a little skewed. Alpha software is not even guaranteed to start, even though it is build on a daily basis it could be a bad day and nothing even starts. I have his installed and follow progress on some new designs with it. But it is just that, a testing program. Storing business critical data in those version is probably a very poor decision indeed. Even if it has been relatively stable for years now.

Beta software is of a higher standard than Alpha, and most of the bugs that prevent things running are fixed before getting to Beta, but it is still a development version and not for use in any form of "production" that is business use in particular because it just might have a bug that corrupts all you calendar or worse. Again it is a development and testing version. Beta software is prone to having features pulled without notice if they cause a problem somewhere else, or are just not working out (Profile import export spring to mind)

Then there is a release version. This is the best we can do in being bug free, or at least data loss bug free. But like all software it will probably have a lot of bugs, but they may be minor, like a font size is slightly off. Or simply affect few people because the use case to cause them is really an uncommon occurrence.

Generally those using beta versions should be familiar with using Bugzilla to locate reported bugs and to report the bugs they find.

Bug like this https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1226851 which answers your question "Why in the world did they remove it in the first place?" The removal of the outlook CSV export/import format was implemented apparently because data loss is almost guaranteed because of limitations in the format. The discussion is now if it should be uplifted to the current release version as well.

I looked in my daily version and export to ical on the Events and Tasks menu and profile export has been restored to the Tools menu. So I guess some of these things are progressing.
