Firefox on Macbook M1 consumes infinite MEMORY due to a GIF on a webpage.
Here is the entire video demonstrating the problem. Please observe carefully as I do a few intentional actions so as to exclude any other factors causing the problem.
PROBLEM: Whenever I use a webpage with an uploaded GIF, Firefox starts attempting to consume an INFINITE amount of MEMORY. First eating away RAM until eventually all of the available SWAP MEMORY from my SSD is also utilised. After having to force quit Firefox due to no more memory space, as anyone can imagine with over 50GB of Memory Swap employed, this can severly reduce the lifespace of my SSD in the long-run - something that's becoming a problem on multiple forums.
I have tried to create identical conditions for both Safari and Chrome, neither of which faced the same issue. One must assume that this is, sadly, a Firefox problem that I'm sure their reliable team will be able to resolve promptly.

I'm currently traveling via train so the internet is slow and causing the upload speed of the video to be slow. Bear with.
