Find Noisy Tab
some video or something is running and I can't find it. scrolling through my tabs I don't find it. using my tab manager doesn't show it either - it must be pretty crappy.
you've got a help thing somewhere saying 'click the number thing next to the address field' but there's no number thing on my firefox.
it'd be really good if I could identify these playing things. now a second one has started up while I've been hunting. two of them running at once.
task manager doesn't help. shows a lot of firefox instances or something but they all look just the same and I don't know what they are..
any help?

Favicon of the noisy tab should switch to a speaker icon with description: PLAYING.
I know. Trouble is that is not obvious enough. I've searched up and down and fail to see it. Apparently I have 1535 tabs open.
Trouble is my tabs manager it turns out is fairly useless. 'all tabs helper'. it seems it can't cope with those numbers. when I scroll it there's just a couple of flicks and it is suddenly at the end of the list. and like that. i can't search through it looking for names or any indication on it of which is open.
And going through the firefox tbs looking for the speaker thing is much the same... they zoom past too quickly, giving me no idea that I've missed so many. 1500+ ! I had no idea. I would have thought I might have one or maybe two hundred.
But tabhunter gives a count, it says 1535 or something.
Tabhunter found it, them, quickly with the 'audio only' search. Lovely.
Maybe firefox wants to incorporate something or at least improve the tab speaker icon - make the whole tab red or something?
so there's the answer: addon: tabhunter.
thanks. regards. ab. :)
