Do i need to add items in collections to bookmarks to sync between phones?

My account shows no bookmarks. On phone 1, I have several collections, no bookmarks. On phone 2 I have nothing. How do I get the links (from my collections) on phone 1 to transfer to phone 2? When I sync nothing happens (I understand collections don't sync). I would expect all my links would sync as bookmarks. They don't.

What's the fix?

Do I need to click each phone 1 link, add to bookmarks, sync, then manually recreate collections on phone 2? Collections is a totally useless feature if you can't sync them (yeah, I read elsewhere that Firefox may add syncing in the future

Yes, you will need to add them as bookmarks to sync them to another copy of Firefox for Android.

You can also open the Collection and tap the share icon to share the Collection to another copy of Firefox.

I tried the Share function and nothing happened. I got a "tabs sent" message, but collections weren't sent, tabs weren't created, nothing.

Guess I'll see if I feel like wasting my time copy/pasting links from one phone to the other...or just give up and go back to Opera which DOES allow syncing Collections (they call them Favorites).

Thanks anyway. Tell Firefox to fix this. It's a problem.
