Hi there,

I just switched operating systems from Linux Lite to Linux Mint, and when I went to sign in to Firefox my email address wasn't recognized as having an account - there was no option to send a recovery email or anything, only to create a new account. I tried my other email addresses and the same thing. So I ended up creating a brand new account with my email address, but now I've lost 100's of precious bookmarks and passwords that were saved in Firefox.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Adrian

Don't you still have access to the home folder from Linux Lite, so you can restore your personal data form the previously used Firefox profile ?

The System Details shown a rather old/outdated Firefox 89.0.2 version. Why didn't you install the current release (104.0.2) ?

Verify that you meet the System Requirements (GTK+ and GLib) for the current Firefox release.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I did update Firefox. I don't have access to Linux Lite anymore I don't think, as I did the install of Linux Mint where it wipes everything there previously.

I still don't understand how my Firefox account was erased. I definitely had an account with all my bookmarks saved, and entered every email addres I have and none registered.

Thanks for your thoughts,

Adrian
